Hemasiri and Pujith further remanded

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Former Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Hemasiri Fernando and mandatory-leave Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara who were arrested and remanded over the Easter Sunday attacks, have been further remanded until 20 January.

Hemasiri and Pujith are charged with failure to take measures to prevent the Easter Sunday attacks in April last year, or minimise the destruction caused, despite receiving prior intelligence information.
