Govt. to provide Rs. 5,000 allowance from next week

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Government has decided to give Rs. 5000 allowancqe to a selected group of people affected due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, State Minister Shehan Semasinghe said.

He told a news briefing that the allowance would be paid to Samurdhi recipients, those who are already receiving Government allowances, low income earners, and those who find it difficult to earn an income owing to the pandemic situation.
