COVID-19 recoveries rise to 2,541

UTV | COLOMBO – Another four persons have recovered from COVID-19 and have been discharged from hospitals, raising recoveries recorded in the island thus far to 2,541.

Accordingly, two persons had been released from the Colombo East Base Hospital, while one patient each had been released from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases and the Minuwangoda Base Hospital.

Meanwhile the number of infections recorded in the country currently stands at 2,839.

The number of persons being treated for coronavirus at present stands at 287, while 64 persons suspected to have contracted the virus also remain under medical observation.
