“Avatar” 4K re-release gets a trailer

(UTV | UNITED STATES) – Twentieth Century Studios has released a new trailer for the re-release of “Avatar” in cinemas from September 23rd. The two-week engagement will offer the film with a pristine 3D 4K HDR transfer.

“Avatar” hit cinemas back in 2009 and was a long-running success that dominated the box-office for months afterwards. It has seen sporadic re-releases since then, but this marks the first time it comes with the new 4K restoration from director James Cameron.

From reports, Cameron hasn’t done any tinkering or added any scenes or visual effects, this is just a cleaned-up version of the existing print.

It comes ahead of the release of the first sequel “Avatar: The Way of Water” which will hit cinemas on December 16th.
