(UTV | COLOMBO) – 62,162 persons have been arrested for violating curfew regulations since the 20th of March.
Police said the suspects were arrested between the 20th of March and 6am today.
17,460 vehicles have also been seized during this period.
541 individuals were arrested between 6pm yesterday and 6am today while 138 vehicles were seized during this period.
Meanwhile 18,992 cases have been filed for violating curfew regulations since the 18th of March while 7,387 fines have been issued by Police.
