LTTE detainees’ hunger strike enters second day

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A group of around 43 Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Organisation-linked detainees at the Colombo Magazine Prison are continuing the hunger strike launched on Wednesday (04).

The group reported to have commenced the strike demanding that their cases be expedited.

Reportedly, the matter has been brought to the attention of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan by the Justice and Prison Reforms Minister Thalatha Athukorala.
