Former Import and Export Controller further remanded

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former Controller of the Department of Import and Export Control M. G. Gamini who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) while accepting a bribe has been further remanded until 09 October by the Fort Chief Magistrate today (02).

Gamini was arrested on 20 July while soliciting a bribe of Rs. 200, 000 from a businessman to provide a report containing recommendations necessary to bring down two vehicles from Japan which are around ten-years old through legal channels.
