Wildlife Rangers Island Wide Work to Rule Campaign Called off

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) The island wide work to rule campaign launched by wildlife rangers was called off yesterday (29).

Wildlife officers launched a work to rule campaign on 28th following an incident where a group of unidentified men assaulted officers attached to the Minneriya Wildlife Office.

Wildlife Officers Association Indika Peiris said the work to rule campaign was called off after several suspects involved in the incident were arrested by Police.

10 persons including a member of the Hingurakkoda Pradeshiya Sabha, were arrested and remanded yesterday(29) over the assault of a Wildlife Officers attached to the Minneriya National Park.
