Premier leaves for Vietnam to attend Indian Ocean Conference

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe left for Vietnam on Saturday (25) to attend the Indian Ocean Conference in Hanoi.

He is scheduled to address the inaugural session of the two-day conference on 27 August.

The conference takes place from 27 -28 August under the theme “Building Regional Architectures” to promote strategic cooperation and trade ties between countries, consolidate security frameworks and administrative processes, and contribute to maintaining regional peace, stability, development, and connectivity.
