“Prices of Private Hospitals to be regulated,” Health Minister says

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The price regulation of Private Hospitals will be made within next week, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Rajitha Senaratne said.

Accordingly, the measures have been taken by the Ministry to regulate the prices of 53 levies including surgeries, laboratory tests, and child birth within next week.

Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe has been instructed to prepare the price regulation list for Private Hospitals and the related Gazette Notification will be issued after the handing over of its final report within the next two-days.
