Additional SLTB buses to deployed as private bus strike commences

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Additional buses will be deployed for the convenience of the public in view of trade union action launched by the private bus operators, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) assured.

The All Ceylon Private Bus Workers Association (ACPBWA) launched a strike from midnight Wednesday (15) to oppose the new fines imposed for violating road rules.

However, the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association (LPBOA) is taking part in this strike.
