Government rebuilding a fallen economy- Ravi K

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake says the government is working under a stringent economic plan.

Addressing a gathering in Mattakkuliya today the minister requested the public to have faith in the government and its ability to fulfill the promise it made.

Minister Karunanayake said what he wants is to rebuild the country’s fallen economy with the support of the president and prime minister and let the citizens reap the benefits of its results.

The Finance Minister said it wasn’t about a mere building or two adding that the government wants to fulfill the needs of the people adding that in the case of the cost of living he was certain that, after the country was handed over to the good governance government the 8th of January 2015, the prices of 25 essential items were reduced.

The Finance Minister said apart from rice he believes the prices are much less than they were before adding that event the chief prelate can confirm this.
