Special Parliamentary meeting to address energy sector concerns

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A special meeting is scheduled to take place in Parliament with the participation of Officials attached to the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), and members of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka.

The meeting will focus on concerns surrounding the energy sector and over the issue of purchasing electricity from privately-owned power plants for a reasonable rate.The stakeholder meeting has been called by the Parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises.
