(UTV|COLOMBO) – A slight change in the prevailing weather is expected, the Department of Meteorology stated on Monday (30).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Eastern Province and Badulla District after 2.00 PM.
Several spells of showers will occur in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and North-Western Provinces. Fairly heavy falls about 50 mm can be expected at some places particularly in Central and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, and in Kaluthara District.
Light showers may occur in Northern and North-Central Provinces.
Fairly strong gusty winds up to 40-50 kmph can be expected in Hambantota, Monaragala, Ampara Matale, Polonnaruwa and Puttalam Districts.
