Custom arrested 40 year old Indian and the 40 and 45 year old Sri Lankans at the Bandaranaike International Airport while attempting to smuggle out a stock of foreign currency worth 48 million rupees.
The three suspects had in their possession 52,950 US dollars, 153,250 Euros, 264,000 Saudi riyal and 18,500 Qatar riyal.
The Airport Customs is conducting further investigations.
