Secretary to the President Austin Fernando resigns

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The President’s Media Division (PMD) on Thursday (05) announced that the Secretary to the President Austin Fernando has resigned from his position.

It said that, “Secretary to the President, Austin Fernando bid farewell to his Office.”

Mr. Fernando became the Adviser to President Maithripala Sirisena on 15 August, 2015.

He was thereafter appointed Governor of the Eastern Province on 27 January, 2015. Mr. Fernando resigned in order to become Secretary to the President on 01 July, 2017.
