(UTV|COLOMBO) – The General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) Organisation, Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero who was sentenced to six-months of Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) granted bail by Homagama Magistrate following his appeal on Friday (22). He was released on two surety bonds of Rs. 500,000 each.
Gnanasara Thero was sentenced to a one-year prison term which was reduced to six-months and a fine of Rs. 50,000, for threatening the wife of Journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda, Sandya Eknaligoda.
He had been accused of threatening the wife of the missing Journalist within the Homagama Court Premises in 2016.
