Navy assists to the distressed people by cyclonic affect in Kurunegala

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Navy deployed Naval relief teams to assist the people displaced by cyclonic effect, over Kudagalgamuwa and Bibiladeniya areas in Maspotha Divisional Secretariat, Kurunegala.

With prompt response to the emergency situation, two relief teams were dispatched to the affected areas and accordingly a relief team of 40 naval personnel headed by an officer to Kudagalgamuwa area and another team of 25 naval personnel including an officer to Bibiladeniya area were sent off.

Further, Navy relief teams are assisting to the people in the affected areas to make their normal life while engaging in activities like clearing fallen trees and repairing damaged houses.
