CEB engineers’ strike continues

UTV | COLOMBO – The work-to-rule campaign launched by the Ceylon Electricity Board’s Engineers’ Union is continuing.

They launched their trade union action charging that the Public Utilities Commission is delaying the approval of Long-term Power Generation Plan submitted by the CEB.

The Union’s President Saumya Kumarawadu said they will continue the trade union action until the issue is resolved.

Meanwhile, electricity breakdowns were reported from several parts of the island.
