CAA to nab errant traders

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has taken measures to conduct special raids in line with the forthcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year festive season.

Accordingly, the CAA has advised Officials to raid retail outlets and stores to prevent substandard products from being sold in the market.

The officers will also look into vendors who conceal goods in order to create a shortage and those found to have not displayed prices.

Meanwhile, the CAA requested the public to be aware of such malpractices before purchasing goods.
