Sri Lanka seeks to consolidate relationship with China

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Government said that it will seek to consolidate Sri Lanka’s relationship with China.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, in a message to Chinese President Xi Jinping, said that Sri Lanka-China relations have made tremendous progress in the recent past. encompassing various sectors providing rich dividends to both countries.

“I look forward to work with you closely in deepening our bilateral relations,” he said.

The Prime Minister said this in a message congratulating Xi Jinping on his re-election as the President of China.
