JVP calls for internet freedom

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Parliamentarian Vijitha Herath requested the Government to ensure the freedom to use the internet.

Mr Herath has written to Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mangala Samaraweera calling for the right to internet freedom be ensured.

The letter directed to Minister Samaraweera requested the Government to refrain from violating the public’s democratic right by preventing the right of expression.
