Case against MP Namal Rajapaksa to be heard

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The case filed against Hambantota District Parliamentarian (MP) Namal Rajapaksa over disrespecting the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption will be taken up for hearing once again today (31st Tuesday).

The case will be heard before the Supreme Court.

The Bribery Commission filed a case against MP Namal Rajapaksa for allegedly defaming the Commission by rejecting summons to record a statement.

MP Rajapaksa pleaded not guilty when the charge sheet was read out in court during the previous court hearing.
