Joint Opposition to hold anti-government protests across the island

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Joint Opposition says it will hold as many anti-government protests across the country similar to the rally conducted in Nugegoda last Friday.

United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Ranjith de Zoysa representing the Joint Opposition (JO) said that the Joint Opposition has decided to hold another public rally promptly.

MP De Soyza said following the successful rally organized by the Joint Opposition that was held in Nugegoda, there has been an awakening of anti-government factions, and the people are riled up.

He said therefore the Joint Opposition has decided that the second anti-government protest organized by the Joint Opposition will be held on the 19th of February in Ambalanthota.
