GMOA accused of threats against SL Medical Lab Chairman

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Chairman of the Sri Lanka Society for Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Ravi Kumudesh has lodged a complaint at the police against Assistant Secretary to the Government Medical Officer’s Association (GMOA) Naveen Soyza for challenging and threatening to assault him.

Ravi Kumudesh said he was threatened during a meeting to discuss the organizational structure of hospital laboratories under the leadership of Director General Health Services Dr. Jayasundara Bandara.

Ravi Kumudesh said he requested the Director General of Health Services to investigate the matter, reportedly.

Kumudesh has stated to the media today (30th Monday) for the first time, the Government Medical Officer’s Association participated in the meeting as a Trade Union.
