UPFA, SLFP request President to appoint new Premier; UPFA recommends Nimal Siripala for the post

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) on Wednesday (14) requested the President in writing to appoint a Parliamentarian who commands majority support in Parliament as the new Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that UPFA has recommended Transport Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva’s name for the Prime Minister position in order to form a new Government.
