43 Chief Inspectors promoted to rank of ASP

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – 43 Chief Police Inspectors (CIP) have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) according to the recommendation of the Inspector General and the approval of the National Police Commission (NPC).

Issuing a statement the Police Headquarters said the promotions were effective from the 25th of December.

The Chief Inspectors were attached to the Presidential and Ministerial Security Divisions (PSD&MSD) and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB). 9 more Chief Inspectors are on a waitlist to be promoted.
