HRCSL summons Uva Province Chief Minister on Feb. 01

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) issued summons on Uva Province Chief Minister Chamara Sampath Dassanayake to appear before the Commission on 01 February to inquire into the incident of forcing a Principal to kneel.

The Commission launched an inquiry into the incident on complaints stated that the Chief Minister and the Officials violated the right of language and expression under the Article 12 (1) and Article 10 of the Constitution.
