Indonesia and Sri Lanka talk to boost trade and economic relations

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Indonesia and Sri Lanka Wednesday (24) agreed to increase bilateral trade following talks between visiting Indonesian President Joko Widodo and President Maithripala Sirisena.

“Pleased to welcome President Joko Widodo of Indonesia. In our very fruitful discussions, we agreed to increase bilateral economic, trade, educational and technological cooperation to the benefit of both nations,” President Sirisena said following the talks yesterday evening.

President Widodo arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday on an official two-day State visit on an invitation extended by President Sirisena.
