‘Suvaseriya’ Ambulance Service to be expanded

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The second stage of the ‘Suvaseriya’ Ambulance Service will be expanded by 200 more units, the Deputy Minister of Development Policies and Economic Affairs Dr. Harsha De Silva said.

The service, which has catered to thousands of patients, was launched with the support of the Indian Government in July 2016 with 88 ambulances and 500 Sri Lankan staff in the Western and Southern Provinces.

Presently, the Ambulance Service is operational in Colombo, Gampaha, Galle, Kalutara, Matara and Hambantota.
