Malaysia PM to call on Sri Lankan counterpart

UTV | COLOMBO – Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak, who arrived in the island on Sunday for an official visit, will call on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today.

The meeting will be held at the Temple Trees.

The discussion will focus on the expansion of investment opportunities between the two countries.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia was welcomed by the President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday while he two parties held bilateral discussions.

The President’s Media Division said a special Guard of Honour and a 21-gun salute was accorded to the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Premier Abdul Razak undertakes the official visit to Sri Lanka to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Bilateral discussions were also held after a cordial meeting between the leaders.
