SLPP’s Maharagama and Weligama nominations rejected
UTV | COLOMBO – The list of nominations submitted by Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) for Weligama Urban Council has been rejected.
However, a spokesperson for the SLPP said that the party will take legal action against the move.
Meanwhile, the nominations list submitted by SLPP for Maharagama Urban Council was also rejected.
The Returning Officer stated it was rejected, due to lack of women participation.
