Case against Minister AHM Fowzie in April

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Court today (23rd Monday) ordered the case against State Minister of National Integration and Reconciliation AHM Fowzie over the alleged misuse of state funds and vehicles to be taken up on the 5th and 6th of April.

The order was issued by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe.

The State Minister was ordered to be present before Court today but failed to appear.

The attorney representing State Minister Fowzie informed Court that their client was not present due to an illness and as he has been hospitalized.

The State Minister is charged with misusing state funds and vehicles during his tenure with the United People’s Freedom Alliance led government.

The State Minister was ordered to appear before Court once again on the 5th of April.
