Bodies of Maskeliya siblings found

UTV|COLOMBO – The divers of Sri Lanka Navy have recovered the bodies of siblings from the Baagra Oya in Maskeliya.

The deceased were 28-year-old Subramanium Mahendra and 18-year-old Parameswari Mahalechchami.

Subramanium was working in Ganemulla as a driver and the girl was also working at the same place.

On Sunday (26), they had come home and they had left the home saying that they are going to Maskeliya police to lodge a complaint about a missing mobile phone.

However, later the relatives have found the cab abandoned at the Gardimore Road in Maskeliya.

Then this morning (28) police have found the slippers believed to be that of the missing duo nearby the Baagra Oya.

Police suspect that they may have jumped into the Oya and committed suicide.
