15 Dengue breeding sites discovered at Moratuwa University

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Health has reported 15 locations with Dengue mosquito larvae were discovered at the Moratuwa University premises.

The Moratuwa University was recently closed due to the spread of the Dengue amongst students.

The Ministry of Health said that a discussion was held Monday (03) on the deaths from Dengue and steps being taken to contain the spread of Dengue.

So far 226 people have died and over 71,000 people have been affected by Dengue this year.

During the discussion, it was found that Dengue was spreading at the Moratuwa University as there were several mosquito breeding grounds.
