Showery condition expected to continue

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Showery weather is expected until Tuesday (27) in the South-Western part of the country and there is a high possibility of continuing rain in the Kegalle, Ratnapura, and Kalutara Districts due to active South-West monsoonal conditions, the Department of Meteorology said.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and North-Western Provinces.

Fairly heavy showers (About 50 mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in Kegalle, Ratnapura, and Kalutara Districts.

A few showers may occur in the North-Central Province too.

Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected over Northern half of the island, Uva Province and in the Hambantota District.
