Indian arrested with gold worth Rs 1.6 million

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – An Indian has been arrested at the Bandaranayake International Airport (BIA) for attempting to smuggle gold biscuits to India.

The Indian had concealed the gold biscuits in his luggage. The gold weighing 300 grams has been valued at 1.6 million rupees.

The 28 year old Indian is being questioned by the Airport Customs.
