The Education Unit of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) successfully organised a ceremony to honour high-achieved students in the 2024 GCE OL and AL examinations from the Sammanthurai Educational Zone on Friday, 10th October, at the Sammanthurai Majid Hall.
The event was held under the chairmanship of I.L.M. Mahir, Chairman of the Sammanthurai Pradeshiya Sabha, and was graced by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen, Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress and Member of Parliament, as the Chief Guest.
Also present were Hon. Ashraf Thahir – Member of Parliament and National Organiser of ACMC, Mr. Mahendrakumar – Zonal Education Director of Sammanthurai, and Members of the Sammanthurai Pradeshiya Sabha.
During the ceremony, students who obtained 3As in the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2024 and 9As in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination 2024 from schools within the Sammanthurai and Irakkamam areas were recognised and presented with awards in appreciation of their outstanding academic achievements.
The program aimed to encourage and motivate students to pursue excellence in education while acknowledging the invaluable support of parents and teachers in their success.
