Private vehicles are restricted from entering National Parks

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The entry of private vehicles into national parks without Wildlife Department guides has been suspended.

Mahinda Amaraweera, the minister responsible for wildlife and forest conservation, stated that this decision will be carried out up till the conclusion of the investigations into the event in which several people drove carelessly through Yala National Park.

He said that the incident was reported to the Tissamaharama Magistrate’s Court by the Wildlife Department, who also took the proper legal action.
