No visa’s yet : Standby players still in Sri Lanka

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Cricketers Asitha Fernando, Matheesha Pathirana, and Niroshan Dickwella are still in Sri Lanka awaiting their visas to travel to Australia.

Sri Lanka Cricket had decided to send the three cricketers as standby players during the weekend with a series of injuries for several players in the squad.

However, it is unclear why Sri Lanka Cricket authorities did not take the visas earlier for the players who were on standby for the T20 World Cup.

Sri Lanka now only has Kasun Rajitha and Pramod Madushan as additional fast bowlers with Binura Fernando likely to be ruled out of the tournament.
