US Deputy Assistant Sec. Robert Kaproth calls on President

(UTV | COLOMBO) –  Visiting United States Deputy Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Asia Robert Kaproth has called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Treasury Robert Kaproth had held discussions with the President on Sri Lanka’s plans to implement economic reforms in line with the agreement negotiated with the International Monetary Fund.

Emphasis has been made on the need for political will and strong actions to get the economy back on track.

United States Deputy Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Asia Robert Kaproth arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday.

During his stay Kaproth will meet government representatives and economic leaders.

Discussions will be centred around the way forward on economic recovery in Sri Lanka.
