(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Department of Meteorology predicts showers or thundershowers at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts today.
The Met Department said fairly heavy showers above 75mm can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere over the island during the afternoon or night.
Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
