(UTV | COLOMBO) – Normal train services have resumed along the Kelani Valley line.

Rail services between the Kosgama and Avissawella stations were restricted from 8.30pm on Friday to 6pm yesterday due to the renovation of a bridge along the line.

Accordingly, trains leaving the Colombo Fort Station were limited to Kosgama.

The Railway Control Room said following the completion of renovation activities, a train left the Colombo Fort station to Avissawella last evening.

It added trains will function according to the usual timetable this morning.
