(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Department of Meteorology predicts showers at times in the Sabaragamuwa province and in the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts today.
The Met Department said fairly heavy rainfalls of about 75 mm can be expected at some places.
Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
It added showers or thundershowers can be expected in several places in the Uva, Eastern and North-central provinces during the evening or night.
Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
