Progress reports on Express Pearl

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Attorney General informed the Colombo High Court today (21) that the investigations related to the fire incident of the Express Pearl ship in the sea area near the port of Colombo are continuing and that the related investigations are in the final stage.

The government lawyer requested the court to complete the investigations and give a date for presenting the facts.

Colombo High Court judge Mr. Damith Totawatta, who considered the request, ordered the government lawyer to convene this case on the 23rd of November and to report the progress of the investigations related to this incident on that day.

The Russian national captain of the burning ship and the 04 directors of the ship’s local representative company have been named as suspects in this incident.
