(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government says the circular enforcing the decision taken by the government to reduce the retirement age of public sector workers to 60 years will be issued today (14).
The circular will be issued in accordance with the 2022 Interim Budget proposals.
Secretary to the Ministry MMPK Mayadunne said accordingly, the retirement age of public sector workers will come down to 60 years.
The Public Administration Ministry Secretary said however, the said regulation will not be applicable to certain essential services categories.
