(UTV | INDIA) – Hanuma Vihari will lead South Zone in the Duleep Trophy, which begins on September 8 in Chennai and Pondicherry. Karnataka batter Mayank Agarwal will be Vihari’s deputy. South Zone will face either North Zone or East Zone in the second semifinal, scheduled for September 15 in Salem.

The Duleep Trophy will kickstart the men’s domestic season, which will also see the return of the Irani Cup. The Duleep Trophy will be contested between six zones (North, South, Central, West, East and Northeast) on a knockout basis.
