Three swept away by currents in Nawalapitiya

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Three persons who were attempting to cross the Ketabulawa River in Nawalapitiya have been swept away by currents.

Accordingly, three persons aged, 36, 46 and 47 are reported missing.

A rescue operation is underway. Meanwhile, a person has died after falling into the Panmoor Lake in Hatton.

Two others who were with him at the time of the incident have been arrested.
