(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne states that his Ministry has sought an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on fake news published on several websites and social media.
He stressed that action must be taken against those who spread false news using the internet.
The Minister said that the CID has already commenced investigations based on the complaint filed by his Ministry.
