(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Private Fuel Bowser Transporters Association says the distribution of fuel that was halted due to Vesak poya has recommenced today.
The Association said filling stations in Colombo will receive sufficient stocks of fuel by evening.
Furthermore, a special programme to supply fuel to lorries engaged in the distribution of essential goods will be implemented from today.
The Office of the Commissioner-General of Essential Services said selected filling stations across the island will be instructed to supply fuel to lorries engaged in the transport of medicines, fuel, LP gas, vegetables and other necessities under the programme.
